50x66 We still need donations :) If you are able to please do. We are also in need of adult books for our literacy library-even one copy donated helps! We have had wonderful authors donate 100 copies and wonderful authors who donate just one copy and each and every book promotes literacy and will help produce happiness for years to come.

What a wonderful essay! I have a question-I wrote a 20 page essay on Reincarnation-any idea where I can submit that?

I did hear back from the publisher. To ship a pallet of books (4 X 4 X 4 size) filled with books woudl cost approx $550 to ship from the west coast to GA where we are located...BUT...they are also willing to ship books in boxes if its easier to get sponsors for-each box would cost approx $40 to ship.

I am awaiting an estimated shipping cost from the publisher. As soon as I know more I will post the information. I am assuming that it will have to be a freight charge because it is a pallet of books.

Thank you for asking :)

50x66 I was just contacted by a wonderful publisher who is willing to donate a pallet of books BUT we now must secure funding for postage/transport. Can anyone help by donating any funding for this transport? Every ax dollar donated is precious and is a tax deduction for the donor. thank you!
50x66 Thank you Ms Anne Emerick for your very generous donation of over 100 childrens books that will be sued directly for our Holiday Literacy Childrens Book/Gift drive. If you need a receipt please let me know via a message. Once again, thank you so very much for your kindness and support!
50x66 I am starting something new and hope that I do not offend authors who have given book donations in the past, but we feel as if our donors deserve a little more than a "thank you" so as donations come in I will be making special acknowledgements in this "topic" for every author that donates from this date forth. We just really want you to know how much we really appreciate your donated "gifts"

***For those of you who wish to receive a donation receipt for tax purposes or personal reasons please message me with you current email address and I will get them sent out as soon as I possible can***
50x66 Welcome new and seasoned members! This is to inform everyone of what Wee Care Community Outreach Inc is presently doing (and we desperately need YOUR help!)

Every year countless children go without gifts during the holiday season. We are doing our best to make sure that doesnt happen this year. It is our hope to supply 1000 children with books and gifts this year BUT we can only do it with your help. Please read on to see what we have accomplished and how you can help.

I represent a 501C3 charitable organization/non profit organization called Wee Care Community Outreach Inc. We are based in Dalton, Georgia. We have been established since 2006. Our mission is to help lower income, at-risk families who have children. We have helped in many different ways-supplying needed tools for parents to obtain gainful employment, supplied much needed winter coats to children in the Cincinnati, Ohio area, we have helped families with infants who needed baby formula and baby items, helped families obtain the referrals they need to receive the assistance their family needed, provided financial assistance to help lower income students attended educational field trips, and recently we began our literacy awareness program.

We are only funded by the generosity of people like you. We do not receive federal or foundation grants. Our programs are funded purely by donations. We do not pay high salaries and our workers are completely volunteer.

Our current project is a fundraising effort to help us supply lower income, at-risk, and ill children with books during the holiday season. It is our hope to raise enough money/books to not only give lower income children books and literacy related gifts, but to also take books to the pediatric floor of a local hospital on Christmas Eve. Often times we hear of families who did not receive holiday assistance because of various reasons (unable to attend mandatory meetings, unforeseen financial crisis right before the holidays)-without our help many children would go without gifts during the holiday season. We also feel that children who are in hospitals during the holiday could use a feeling of joy knowing that someone out there does care. The gift of literacy is a wonderful thing and a great book can spark creativity, imagination, and can help promote healing (both physically and emotionally).

Within the last quarter we have been able to help over 500 area children and families, donated over 200 books to local 501C3 organizations, donated 200 books to local churches for them to distribute to families in need, and also provided 100 books to at-risk adults who could not afford books.

We keep our operating expenses very low to help ensure that the donations (both monetary and in-kind donations) go directly where they are intended to go-to the people who need help the most. We help those when others won't. We do not require referrals from other organizations or extensive paperwork that some families have a problem providing. If a child desires the ability to read we will do our very best to provide them with the tools and books to do so.

We desperately need your help. Our goal is to help 1000 children this year and we only have the books to help 250. We want to reach children before its too late-the ability to read is a gift that every child should have the ability to obtain. Since we are an IRS registered 501C3 organization every donation is tax deductible. If you would like to make a difference in a child's life please consider donating.

We are in need of donations: new books (both children and adult books-we can use adult books in our literacy library or for fundraising-whichever the donor chooses), new toys, gift cards, items to use for fundraising, and monetary donations (we ask that you send a Western Union or US Postal Service money order so that you have a receipt for your donation and ease of accounting for the organization) . Any of these items can be sent to the address below:

50x66 Hello, sorry for the time it took to respond as I had a lot of work to get done the last couple of days. We service children ages 1-adults. As of right now we don not have clients who have reading devices as many of them are lower income families. I really do appreciate your kindness and support!

50x66 As many of you already know, we run a literary book drive for the holidays and offer lower income, at-risk children free books as holiday gifts.

Last year we distributed over 500 books to area children. This year our goal has doubled due to the amount of children who will be applying for our holiday services-so this year our goal/need is to help 1000 lower income children.

We can not do this without your help! We are in need of donations of childrens books, items/books to use for fundraising.(Books, toys, gift certificates, tablets, e-readers, items to put into silent basket items, and monetary donations) We are a 501C3 charitable organization so every donation is tax deductible. Please help if you can. Donations can be sent to (please mark holiday program on the box or note inside so we know if you wish to have your donation used for our adult/child literacy library or our holiday program):
