Lolita
by
"I haven't finished this book yet but I feel it's one of the best because of how it encourages you to think about the actions of your main character and it forces you into a new negative perspective. It's a disturbing story that is written so well sometimes you forget the MC is a bad person until he starts talking about little girls again. I think this book should be taught in lessons regarding unreliable narrators and media literacy as a whole because of how this book is so often misinterpreted. "

"I feel like this book is good for educational purposes. It gives an example of tyranny and stuff that could really make the reader think which I personally enjoyed. "

Alone Against Tomorrow: Stories of Alienation in Speculative Fiction
by
"Specifically the short story: I have no mouth, and I must scream.

Mainly for the same reasons as I stated for Lolita - it forces you to not take the MC for face value because of the fact Ted is not a reliable narrator." See Review |

1984

"This book is one of my personal favorites of all time so perhaps I'm a bit biased but I enjoy how you can connect this to current events kind of. Going with the theme of education I feel like it fits right in on teaching about censorship and stuff like that."
