This was an amazing series!

I've only read the first one but really liked it. I have book 2 set up for a January read and I can't wait to jump back into it.

It gets better. A very deep and dark series. One of my favorites.
What do you like about the first book?

I liked Arren's determination to prevail against those bastards who were keeping him down and I liked Blackheart's will to survive. I like them as a team and can't wait to see what dangerous adventures they get up to in The Griffin's Flight.

What did you like?

I like the moral dilemmas and the very gray aspect of the book. Nothing was cut and dry, it was all beautiful emotion. The conflicts both internal and external spoke to my heart. You know? Plus I love griffins (that is why I got the book in the first place). The society and world are well realized and the characterization flow well. All in all, a perfect book!
My favorite part was when Blackheart saves Arren from death. That was unexpected and brought on a whole host of feelings that complicated the story. Not to mention it is a major driving force for the story in general.
What do you think of Arren and Blackheart so far? They make a great team. And where do you think the story is going?

I think they will eventually return as a bonded team and dominate those that are destroying the land. I cannot remember the specifics of who is in charge, but I think Arren will end up "ruling" and ejecting those currently in charge.

No I have it scheduled for January and will do my best to get to it. Maybe in Feb I can read #3.
