"Got the name of the airport right. Makes up an entire island called Skin Island, but that's cool. Thought the author might've actually lived on Guam because her parents were professors at the university like the main character. So she did her research. Mentions things like a kamyo and the Kantan Chamorita. However the author did take some creative liberties - nothing like the beads described in Jim's plane exists in the Chamorro culture. A bit disappointed that the love interest wasn't half-Chamorro like I initially thought while reading. "
