The Tao of Wu

by
4.06 avg rating — 5,579 ratings
"I found this book at the right time of my life, when I was puzzling over my spiritual mindset. While I'm not a follower of the Tao of Wu, The RZA's story, the connections he made, the levels of development to which he admitted, and the quotes from others proved very useful in my own development. Considering that I found this book remainered one day when I was in a very picky mood for for something different, and I consider that significant."

Learn to Program with C++

by
4.50 avg rating — 8 ratings
"Significant to me because, during a point where I was very much a stranger in a strange land, I realized that I could be persuaded to try my hand at programming despite not having a coder's mind. Flawed though it is, this book helped me feel smarter than I usually did when surrounded by geeks."

"What happens in a fantasy novel when instead of following the hero, we follow a different protagonist: the bitter former friend of the hero who stomps off into the wilderness or crowd, possibly to never be heard from again, or to become a minor villainous footnote?"

Bunny: The Book of Random

"Written by a Brit, so some of the current event-related strips may go over some reader's heads. Many of the pop-culture references are hysterical though, and the bunnies own world is beautiful, strange, and fueled with tea."
