The subject matter of "Room" was grim, but it was an interesting book. Lots to think about and in the end, hopeful from the child's point of veiw I thought.
I am glad to read it was hopeful from the child's view point as from what little I know I feared they were doomed. I am struggling with A Casual Vacancy. Its also very sad but perhaps not as sad as Room.
