The Diary of a Young Girl
by
"Anne Frank's diary allows young adults, children even. a glimpse into what wartime is like, what can happen to a society when extremists take power. There are so many important lessons to be learned from the Holocaust, World War II (more generally), the Nazis... So many important lessons about Humanity. EVERYone should read this book."

To Kill a Mockingbird
by
"I cried reading this book. Harper Lee does such an amazing job, exploring people's hatred and fear of the unknown from the eyes of a child.

The movie with Gregory Peck is awesome, but the book is a MUST read! It's important for children to learn that while it may not (certainly will not!) be the easiest thing to do, it is important to stand up for what a person believes is morally right. It is important for people to stand up for those who cannot stand for themselves. Most importantly, it is CRUCIAL to examine one's own personal motives behind one's attitudes/views. One may find themselves on the wrong side of an issue just because they never bothered to think critically and just swallowed whatever they were fed as a child." See Review |

Pride and Prejudice
by
"I prefer Austen's Emma, but this book is fantastic. It may not be a MUST read for every single person, but I absolutely adore it. I have a deep appreciation for the evolution of the chick-flick :-)

What's more, Jane Austen totally hits IT on the head. "IT" being the ridiculous issues that come between men and women who care about each other. Each make assumptions about themselves and the other, and if people just communicated clearer and more effectively, there would be a lot less drama in the world." See Review |
