You voted for Transformation! I read this book ages ago, way before I knew what MM was, and I really, really loved it. I'm only now starting to realize that I probably loved it because of the bromance thing, I wonder if I'd still like it now, after having read so much satisfying actual MM stuff?

Same here. I remember being extremely bored by the females in this, it really was the bromance that made this as good as it was. Not going to reread it to check if i'd still like it though.
I skipped #2 as well. Those guys were meant to be together. The women were awful. Same with the Innocent Mage books: that type of friendship is just asking for more. I'm a Harry/Draco gal. This is how book 7 should have gone imho: The Scholomance Series.
