Daniel's Story: Lungs Prefer Air (Seven Presidents High School, #1)
by
"I wrote Daniel's Story from so many life experiences. It is real, honest, and still makes me believe that teens have the power to change the world."

Jordan's Story: A Life Worth Living (Seven Presidents High School, #2)
by
"Jordan is the boy I fell for when I was a teen. His life is rough, but his soul is strong. Paired up with Elle, he is exposed to the pain and pleasure that life beholds. As the plot evolves, an eclectic and unexpected group of characters make this story stay in your gut and make you root for the underdog. I thoroughly enjoyed writing it and hope you enjoy reading it!"

Jean-Luc's Story: People Are Closer Than They Appear (Seven Presidents High School, #3)
by
"Ah, Jean-Luc! This story is my attempt to confront every girl that cheats her way to popularity and hides behind her fake put-on image, boyfriends, and friends. This story went places I never dreamed it would, and fortunately my readers have enjoyed the ride. I hope you do too! "

Martin's Story: Let No One Put Asunder (Seven Presidents High School, #4)
by
"This all started because of an app. Tracking ghosts was making for a fun girls' night, but then it turned into so much more. Mystery, romance, destiny, suicide. Take a look and you'll see why it is a book you'll remember in ten years!"

Hamlet
by
"Does this need defending? Didn't we all give in to the story mesmerized by the brilliance of it? Do we not share in a collective response when 'What a piece of work is man?' is recited? This book introduced me to the power of an author to move me and it continues to do so to this day."

Romeo and Juliet
by
"It is the first love from which all others are measured. It is the innocence and utter abandon to the heart, allowing it to take hold and change the course of your life. Love is everything, yet it is flawed for lack of maturity, of foresight. The commonality of this experience binds us all and the lessons taught, are timeless."

Atlas Shrugged
by
"I read this book the summer after my mother died. I didn't know it was her favorite. I just knew I had to read it. In an attempt to sum up the book's importance, I would say it is because of Ayn Rand's ability to create characters that exist, that experienc life in its most primal form. The characters share a symbiotic relationship with intangibles such as jealousy, gluttony, hope, desire, sacrifice, and political and economical beliefs. She created a doctrine now known as Objectivim. Mostly, I adored this book because it speaks of the individual having a right to exist for itself. "

Marjorie Morningstar
by
"You may or may not agree with this book. I chose it because of the impact it has had on so many people. I remember reading it as a teenager and women of all ages would approach me and say they lived through it. They connected to the story, to the characters, and yes to the repeated theme of falling for the wrong boy when the right one has been by your side all along. This book is not a fad, but a telling of true life experiences that so many of us can relate to. And how this was done by the writer of The Winds of War, I will never know!"

Of Human Bondage
by
"Wow, I was traveling by Amtrack and this book was my companion. I was desperate for answers and frustrated by life. This book handed them to me. I don't know how Somerset knew what I was thinking, feeling, but he did and he wrapped up this story just for me. Later on I discovered I wasn't the only one to feel this way. It even made it onto a Buffy episode when a college boy disappears leaving behind the one possession he was never without; Of Human Bondage."

The Torah: The Five Books of Moses
by
"Simply put, it's the greatest story ever told. And it is retold on a weekly basis in synogogues and churches, and mosques around the world. It is the moral compass used to teach ethics. It is the foundation for our value system. The impact of this book is immeasurable and incomprehensible. Yet it is profoundly felt by all, whether believer or not."

In the Company of the Courtesan
by
"This isn't Sarah Dunant's most famous book, yet it was moving well beyond its fame.
Donna
rated it 5 stars
Could you imagine life as a courtesan? Not a whore, not a prostitute, but a woman who holds her head high and values her place in society among the wealthy, aristocratic bourgeoisie. Can you imagine life as the companion to a courtesan appearing to all as nothing more than a disfigured servant? The courtesan has the looks and admirers, yet the companion has the soul. He is ridiculed and humbled by his appearance, and equally cursed or blessed with trapped intelligence, wit, and passion. Read this book. You will not cry, (well maybe some of you will) but you will grow as human beings by learning of these characters and their life experiences. Brilliant, heart-warming and heart-wrenching experiences. Flowers for Algernon
by
"I don't read books that are sad, depressing or geared to give you a good cry. I hate them. This book was phenomenal and the first of only a handful of books that have made me cry. I am a better person for having read the book and walked through Charlie's footsteps. I will never forget it or how it made me feel."

The Shining (The Shining, #1)
by
"Clutching onto this book through the middle of the night with no one around for comfort, no lights on in my house outside of the lamp by my favorite reading chair, I sat terrified as I continued to turn the pages. And so did you. This book is unforgettable, it scared the bejeebies out of me! I have never been so happy being so terrified."

A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)
by
"If it were only for Tyrion, it would have made the list. But it is so more. So rich of characters, of detail. Honestly, how descriptive can Martin be in describing the juices dripping down a man's beard? This epic tale took me 50 pages to get past before I was hooked. They were the longest 50 pages of my life and I'm so glad I got past them. I treasured reading this book and sharing each chapter with my son who had given it to me as a mother's day gift."

Watchmen
by
"How did Moore create this? No really, how? I need to know. It is brilliant. His characters are more real than people I know. His blended story telling incorporating the comic storyline into the novel, along with the chapter commentaries (for lack of a better word) had me hooked. I cherished each chapter and bled with each injustice. How did he make me react to his words, his opinions, his characters' plights, his political criticisms? He is a genius."

The Pillars of the Earth (Kingsbridge, #1)
by
"One of the few books my mother and I disagreed on. I loved this epic tale. I felt the importance of holdng onto tools and not sellng them even when on the verge of dying from starvation. Tools were the means to survival and from them emerged this story just as the Cathedral emerges from that first crack of dawn indicating true east. Follett is one of my favorite authors and this book stands apart."
