The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #1)

"Douglas Adams make me laugh out loud every time. He may very well be my favorite author of all time. His words fill my quote books and I would have gone off with Zaphod in a moment."

The Stand
by
"I have a hard time deciding between this and The Shining when it comes to my favorite Stephen King novel, but the sheer scope of the Stand makes it one of my favorite books of all time. The many characters stayed with me long after I'd closed the cover."

Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
by
"I knew nothing of this book when I purchased it on impulse. Now I try to get as many people as I can to read it. The scene regarding Crowley's house plants in particular has stuck with me. The entire journey had me in stitches."

The Shining (The Shining, #1)
by
"In a way I think this book shaped me. My mother tells the story of how she was reading it while pregnant with me and at times her heart would be pounding so badly, she was afraid that it would injure me in some way.

I love this story. The image of an empty hotel is creepy enough to me as I have a dislike of dim hallways and many door in general. Then you add in the Stephen King touch and animal topiary and it takes it to a whole other level of fear." See Review |

Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1)
by
"I bought this book on a whim and read the entire thing in one sitting. I adore Sookie, especially in these early books in the series. I love Harris' books because I feel like I know her characters."

Dead to the World (Sookie Stackhouse, #4)
by
"My favorite of the "Dead" books. I love Eric. He is my favorite of Sookie's men and seeing this stripped down Eric is such a treat. I adore him prickly, but this view of the man underneath is nice as well."

"Richard Matheson is a master. I picked this up after seeing the Will Smith film and I am so glad I did. Almost a completely different story and one I think I liked much better."

"Though I lost my taste for this series over time, this initial view of Anita and her world still draws me in. I loved her and her boys once upon a time."
