"Primed is my debut novel, a science fiction thriller with a female protagonist and other female characters who never even ONCE talk to each other about men! I didn't write the story with the Bechdel test in mind, but I did deliberatley select a female main character out of a genuine desire to redress the gender balance in literature in general and science fiction in particular: I have three daughters, for whom I hope to make the world a better place!"
