Wildwood Dancing (Wildwood, #1)
by
"This is a combination of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" and "The Frog Prince", its probably my favorite fairy tale retelling that I've read so far... its set in Transylvania and includes the mythological faerie wood etc. I love the writing, the characters are developed and wonderful and the conclusion is everything you want it to be without being too predictable"

Beauty: A Retelling of the Story of Beauty and the Beast

"A more direct retelling of "Beauty and the Beast" by Mckinley, that addresses self-esteem and inner beauty in a beautiful, intricate and wonderfully detailed novel"

The Two Princesses of Bamarre (The Two Princesses of Bamarre, #1)
by
"I'm not sure how intentional this was, but I believe that this is in many ways a retelling of "Sleeping Beauty", but what do you think? The story is compelling, with delightful characters, and a wonderful ending. It is well written of course, Gail Carson Levine is one of my absolute favorite authors, and I may or may not be the proud owner of a signed copy of "Ella Enchanted"..."

The Ordinary Princess
by
"This is a combination a fairy tales, "Sleeping Beauty", "Cinderella" and probably more that I haven't detected. It is the most adorable story I've ever read. Its targeted toward a younger audience but I still thoroughly enjoy it at the age of 24. It is sweet and gently stereotype defiant story with a great message."

Ice
by
"This is a retelling of the Norwegian Fairy tale "East of the Sun, and West of the Moon" and the very very similar story "The Polar Bear King" This fairy tale has a lot in common with Beauty and the Beast, and of course the legend of "Cupid and Psyche" It is transplanted to contemporary Alaska. The story is beautiful, and Durst brings in a whole new level of redemption that is very moving while still being true to the fairy tale back bone."

Daughter of the Forest (Sevenwaters, #1)
by
"A retelling of "The SIx Swans" or the numerous other versions of the same tale, it is beautifully written, and for me it was a delightful surprise because the fairy tale back bone is not immediately apparent, but its a wonderful story about not judging others, Its set in ancient Ireland or at least something that is meant to be very much like Ireland"

Princess of the Midnight Ball (The Princesses of Westfalin Trilogy, #1)
by
"This is a retelling of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" She very cleverly has come up with sequels using the rest of the sisters in other fairy tales, so far "Cinderella", and "Red Riding Hood". It is well-written, true to the original, innovative, and engaging."

Snow White and Rose Red
by
"This is a retelling of "Snow White and Rose Red" not to be confused with "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves", the only similarity between those two fairy tales is a character with skin as white as snow. This book is excellently written, well-researched, and endearing. Excellent character development and again true to the original without being boring, very neatly staged in Elizabethan England and entirely wonderful (in my humble opinion)"

"A retelling of "Snow White" with a rather large twist in which Snow white is not by any means "the fairest of them all""

The Selection (The Selection, #1)

"This one is not necessarily an obvious retelling but it seems to combine "Cinderella" and "The Princess and the Pea" or "The Real Princess", with "The Hunger Games". It is well written and engrossing."

The Princess Curse

"This is a clever retelling of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" with a hint of "Beauty and the Beast" it is witty and well researched. It is lively and funny. It is different enough that it takes you by surprise but not so different as to ruin the original story"

The Storyteller's Daughter

"This is a rendition of Sheharazad, or 1001 nights, beautiful (and abridged obviously) the characters are especially engaging in this one, Dokey can be hit and miss in my opinion, but when she hits she scores. "

The Squire's Tale (The Squire's Tales, #1)
by
"This is a King Arthur story. Morris is witty and his characters endearing. His language is simple, not overdone, he has written a number of king arthur tales, and although they are all perhaps a little to similar they are enjoyable and interesting. He has done excellent research, and has kindly reminded his readers of many of the arthurian legends we had forgotten or never knew. He doesn't focus on the over done bits like Guinevere and Lancelot which by the way is not really part of the breton king arthur story its a french addition in keeping with there habit of making everything into a tragedy..."
