My uncle Cayce gave me my first copy when I was about 7 and I read it for years but thought it was too weird. My sister got The Wizard of Oz at the same time and we both enjoyed that one much more.

Me too. I like Alice in Wonderland, but I prefer Wizard, although I actually like the movie versions of both better!

I definitely like the movie version of the Wizard of Oz better. I recently learned that Seattle is sometimes called the Emerald city! I may have learned that here on goodreads.


In KS there is a vineyard called Oz!

I didn't know that about Seattle! I would like to go to a vineyard called Oz! That would be an experience :)
