The Coldest Winter Ever (The Coldest Winter Ever, #1)
by
"This book paints a realistic portrait of how the drug culture actually affected families during the height of the crack epidemic. It's also unapologetic in its prose, which I personally love because there is no fairy tale ending in real lie for those who live this life. Some parts drag on, but a great story nonetheless. "

Coffee Will Make You Black

"Under-appreciated classic! I read this book for the first time in high school, and was blown away because it was NOT my familiar. Ms. Sinclair is an amazing writer and her characters are always well-developed.
