"Henry VIII is always portrayed as an ogre and a bully. But per this book, maybe he was overcompensating for deep seated insecurities. To be fair, a king is under a lot of pressure.

" I've read dozens of historical novels of this era and still had never heard of some of these juicy bits. Soap opera at it's best can't beat true stories of Tudor England.
