Riku Sayuj How did le Carré sneak into this out of the world list?

message 2: by Manny (new)

Manny I just really like Tinker, Tailor... I must have read it at least three or four times.

Riku Sayuj The New Intelligent Man's Guide to Science: Early favorite or a spectacular work?

message 6: by Manny (new)

Manny I loved it to bits when I was 11. I'm sure it was what made me get into science.

message 7: by Jan (new)

Jan Rice I might have picked Alice in Wonderland. Or Peter Pan. Or Heidi, The Wizard of Oz, or The Blue Fairy Book. I guess I picked one and let it stand in.

message 8: by Manny (new)

Manny Sorry, I suppose I should have tried to get it down to 10. But it's so restrictive. There are more than 10 really amazing books in the world.

message 9: by Jan (new)

Jan Rice I went over, too. I didn't mean to be critical; just thinking about all the childhood special books I could have put in after Alice in Wonderland reminded me. The Boy's King Arthur: Sir Thomas Malory's History of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table is another one.
