I AGREE 100% on this as best I've read on marine corps or Vietnam war.

Yeah, it reminds me of Platoon, both realistic stuff based on or true stories from that era.
I think it reads better than Platoon but doubt a movie could be made of this because it's more complicated, more story to tell. Boot camp, Vietnam, back to the world.
