"An award winner that actually deserved to win. I know that most are aware of the twist in the tale, but when I read the book (not long after it was released originally) the twist was not something anyone mentioned. Emotional, beautifully written, colourful, kept me entranced until I had read the last word."

"A horror story written as part of a challenge. Shelley's monster is a man not a man-made beast. The way that she has created a tale about the horror that man can perform is art."
