I know there must have been other books that caused a few tears but I just can't remember them.
As for that rogue Cromwell? Perhaps reading about all the deaths that occurred due to Henry and Cromwell could've caused someone to weep.
There were a lot of books that I read as a child that caused tears but I'm usually not one to cry when reading books now that I'm older.
I almost added the book Forest Gump because the scene where Forest was on kitchen duty while serving in the army made me cry with laughter.
