Under the Dome
by
"This is one of my favorite books of all time. I can respect a TV series taking certain liberties with a limited novel, but the truly sacrificial part of this TV series is the fact that Stephen King allowed all the liberties that were taken to actually happen."

Journal d’un Vampire (The Vampire Diaries #1)
by
"I'm including the entire vampire diaries series, not just the first book. I could only handle the first episode, and the fact that they had to come up with an entirely new book series afterwards just to support the stories they were telling on TV it's a big hint that they f'd up"

The Phantom of the Opera
by
"Actually, this week has been going right. But it was done right way back in 1923. I think it's time we brought it to the 21st century at the very least"

Storm Front (The Dresden Files, #1)
by
"Again, like the first vampire diaries book, this is only the first in an entire series. I freely admit to never having seen the TV show, but based on what I've heard it was halfway decent. The fact that it wasn't an instant hit tells me somebody messed up."

Flowers in the Attic (Dollanganger, #1)
by
"No don't get me wrong: the original movie made with our dear original Buffy the Vampire Slayer was an excellent movie. But, alas, Hollywood still got it severely wrong. Considering when it came out, I'm not terribly surprised. But even the Lifetime movie of this classic novel, as true as it managed to be to the storyline, was so horrible it just needs to be redone... As does petals on the wind, this book sequel, which lifetime also turned into a movie and was equally horrendous"

Zoo (Zoo, #1)
by
"Like under the dome, I quit this TV series when I simply couldn't take it any longer. Anyone else who has read the book and seen the TV series knows exactly why."
