Outlander (Outlander, #1)
by
"Even though this book is heavily time travel at the beginning, DG does a superb job explaining the Rising in the Highlands; something I was I not personally taught in school. My ignorance to this subject is what made this historical romance so enjoyable to read."

An Echo in the Bone (Outlander, #7)
by
"Much of the American Revolution in this book and my trust in DG shows me that the information is accurate. She writes much of the battles and it really cannot get much more historical than that. This book is so historically accurate that, if the actually storyline were taken out, it would most likely be classified as non-fiction. The only reason this falls behind the OG is because I have never learned about The Rising which made the information fresher."

Dragonfly in Amber (Outlander, #2)
by
"Going off of "Outlander" this book did a great job of wrapping up the Rising of the Highlands. I came away from this book with more interesting historical information, wether true or not. DG did wonderfully with portraying the character of Bonnie Prince Charlie. If he acted like this or not, his character helped me make sense of the actual historical happenings."

Drums of Autumn (Outlander, #4)
by
"Out of all the "Outlander" books thus far (currently on "The Fiery Cross") this is my favorite. Just because it is my favorite does not mean it is the best historical fiction. Though the book was great, it tended to lack of major "happenings" during that time period. In my opinion."
