"I haven't read the book BUT I remember seeing the movie on TV as a child. I was incredibly fascinated by the concept of an unbelieveably handsome man being so evil--and then that his evil deeds keep making his portrait ugly but not him--until his evil soul overcame his physical beauty and at last he died showing the physical truth of what he'd been. It still is haunting to me!"
