"This book takes place only two or three centuries into the future and involves advances in AI, future American politics, Separatists, tech implants, space marines, real science explained by a real scientist, terraforming, space physics, and many more topics that do fit the bill for this list. Its only drawback is that it does have a war, space war theme but I feel that it's emphasis on correct science and the technological solutions that lead to the founding of the first independent human colony on a habitable planet cannot be discounted."
