"I read this years ago - I have never, ever forgotten it. It is absolutely incredible 1.) the abuse Dave suffered but more importantly, 2.) how he survived, perservered and just managed to continue to fight and live. I am truly amazed at what children can adapt to and survive. This is a must read, but yes, very disturbing. "
