"Not as much as a Jungian book, but the best guide I've found for all the basic terms of analytical psychology."

"I usually don't agree with his interpretation of myths but makes Jungian terms easy to understand for everyone without too much distortion. This book has the most appropriate explanations of Jungian techniques for the layperson, like dream interpretation and active imagination."

"Although a book written for women, at least one example of Pinkola's interpretation of fairy tales can show the richness of symbolism we can find in any myth or story, and its infinite power for improving people's lives."

Re-Visioning Psychology

"James Hillman writes as if he was Jung's number one enemy, but in this book makes a revision of other types of psychology against what he calls "his" archetypal psychology but is really Jung's. His biggest merit, beyond his megalomania, is that unlike Jung he is not afraid to use the word soul instead of psyche."

Explorations into the Self

"Michael Fordham is not a famous Jungian because he is not American, but for me he is the most focused in evolving Jung's ideas with real scientific analysis instead of writing bestsellers. He is not an easy read, but if you really want clinical healing through neojungian ideas instead of new agey jibber jabber, this is a place to start."
