"I feel very proud to see Cynthia’s book reach the #1 position on Goodreads Best Book on National Socialism. However, “Through Innocent Eyes” goes far beyond National Socialism. Being a WWII survivor, I was so impressed with the dedication and determination of Gertrude and everything she learned in the BDM. Ms. Sandor has done a tremendous amount of research on remaining accurate and how the BDM impacted the girls, their country, and future. The author is non-partisan and thorough. I believe if Gertrude were alive today, that she would be very proud of her daughter having written such a compelling story. "
