"The book is a collection of personal essays about leaving harmful religious communities (released Dec 1, 2019). It's an anthology of established as well as up-and-coming writers that touches on many timely cultural issues.

While the subject matter can be a little heavy, the editors (Chris Stroop and Lauren O'Neal) believe it is critical to give voice to individuals that are too often marginalized by abuse, racism, misogyny, and bigotry in unhealthy religious communities. Empty the Pews tells those stories.
