"I'm glad I listened to this book, the narration by Brown was stellar! She's able to do accents, male/female even hint at age, so well I recognized the characters by the voice. I wasn't crazy about the first section, so glad I stuck with it. The book is well worth reading for the terrific characters and immersion into 1940s NYC.
