"A deep, but slightly disturbing book. I read this too young (4th grade), but that's okay, too. I recommend this for people over 12 because it deals with heavy topics dealt with. It may go over some children's heads, and you need to be a little older to understand and appreciate this book. It's powerful and great."

"I grew up reading Harry Potter. The trio of wizards will always hold a special place in my heart. Witty and well written, Rowling made my love of reading since the first grade. Don't hold back what your children can read. Don't underestimate what they can understand."

"A deep book about luck and chance that has a strange plot. None the less, it's a great read for anyone. It does, however, require some knowledge of slavery an/or black oppression. A black man is killed because he kisses a white woman. It's a great story."
