"It's just fun, light, fast to read and wraps you in a warm hug. The characters have some baggage, but this book has got a beautiful message, so while some pages are heavy on the crying, it all pays off in the end."

The Van Gogh Blues: The Cre...

"If there's any book I wish I would have been told to read as a kid alongside the bible, it's this one. It really belongs on my "Everybody must read!!!" shelf, and I mean it. It's an incredible resource for creatives, but in my personal opinion, we're all inanely creative whether we know it or not, and a lack of meaning plagues us all. If you feel like you lack purpose in your daily life, this book is absolutely for you."

The Martian

"I read The Martian yeeears ago, and I still consider it one of the funniest books I've ever read. It's just silly and sarcastic and clever (it's gotta be, it's set on Mars, you know). I still manage to think about jokes in this book sometimes and laugh out loud. It's exciting, thrilling, claustrophobic, but in the end, it's just a story about a wacky sarcastic dude stuck on Mars, and I love it."

"It's fast-paced, exciting, mysterious and it's got dangerous water horse beasts. It's been years since I read this one and I want to re-read it every once in a while because it left me so amazed by the end. It's just awesome, and it'll make you forget all your problems for a day or two. Read it."

Emma

"I've just started reading it and it's already proving to be a favorite. But it's Jane Austen, so who's surprised? Emma is funny, a bit self-obsessed and just a character I can roll my eyes at and really love at the same time. It's just really sweet."

"A childhood favorite. It's just a fun, quick read. It's fun to imagine what it would be like to be a princess when you're down in the dumps or life is kicking you in the butt. It's been ten years since I read these books but I can almost taste the sweet Genovian pears just thinking about it. So many good memories from reading about Mia... You just have to read The Princess Diaries at least once in your life."

Stardust

"It's weird, and slow at times. But Neil Gaiman knows how to spin a tale that feels so unreal yet completely plausible at the same time? Stardust is just a fun book to escape into. It will weird you out in the best kind of way."

White as Milk, Red as Blood...

"There's a reason I keep this book on my nightstand at all times and I keep returning to it whenever I can't sleep or something's bothering me. Fairytales are super comforting, and these ones are not the kind of fairytales you're probably already tired of reading. There are only so many times you can read Beauty and the Beast or Snow White before you yawn your brains out. This collection will have you do none of that. Needless to say, I love this."

Pride and Prejudice

"A classic, a book I was told to read in school, a book I re-read as an adult, and fell in love with completely. Some of it is very slow, because there is so many long-winded descriptions about balls and events and random people's social statuses... But nevertheless, I really just need me some Mr Darcy sometimes, and I believe that so do you."
