"This is a moving book that IS about teen pregnancy and the choices a young woman has to make. But, it's so much more. The characters have a great deal of emotional depth. The young man in the book is presented as having an emotionally and morally complicated understanding of his role in the pregnancy. And this is developed honestly, he's not presented as being a mature person at the beginning of the book. Like most 16-year-old boys, he is a year or two behind in psychological development compared to his girlfriend. This book is such a satisfying read. The plot offers the unexpected in chapter after chapter. I've written a review for "Absolute Value" which I will post."
