Filmish: A Graphic Journey Through Film
by
"Has a narrator, but it's more like he's giving a fun lecture about film rather than narrating a story."

Logicomix: An Epic Search for Truth
by
"This is in large part a biography of Bertrand Russell - but only insofar as it is trying to get at an explanation of trying to find ANY sort of 'truth' about the world. The narrative elements are the sugar to help swallow the pill of hard, mathematical logic."

Amazons, Abolitionists, and Activists: A Graphic History of Women's Fight for Their Rights
by
"There's plenty of biography in here but it's a history book, and it's not telling any one story, more giving a whirlwind tour of women's stories from around the world and across time."

Religion: A Discovery in Comics
by
"There's a LOT of autobiography in here, but faith is such a personal thing to make sense of that I think it's about the only way to sensibly tackle an explanation of many world religions"

The Cartoon History of the Universe I, Vol. 1-7: From the Big Bang to Alexander the Great (The Cartoon History of the Universe, #1)
by
"Surely this is the classic exmaple of non-fiction comics? Yes, there's a narrator, and yes he is telling (very short) stories, but what he's really doing is summarising and interpreting many, MANY traditional prose non-fiction history books. This first book is the best. "
