Ganun ba? But they're part of their rich history.

So that means we should classify this under classics with likes of Iliad and Odyssey?

K.D. Absolutely We defined Classics as those written on or before 1900.

Mythology includes retellings of Edith Hamilton of myths that were written before 1900. The book was published in 1960's.

Owh. Ok. I thought kasi na this could've belonged in the non-fiction reference category as it is a book used in schools to teach student Western mythology.
But it's you nominated book anyway, so don't mind me. ^^,

message 7: by Angus (new)

Angus I also voted for Hamilton's Mythology in the nonfiction category because of its "textbook" nature. :D

message 8: by K.D. (new)

K.D. Absolutely I do not agree.

"Mythology" by Edith Hamilton is a compilation of her retelling of the myths. I understand that it could have that "textbook" feel because it is a required reading in schools. But it is basically a retelling of old greek, roman and norse myths. Edith Hamilton put her flavor in them.

Myths, being untrue, are fantasy stories.

Angus Nilipat ko na para may vote ako sa Fantasy, hahaha.

message 10: by K.D. (new)

K.D. Absolutely Cge. May pinagkasunduan tayo today ha ha

message 11: by Apokripos (new)

Apokripos Dapat pa rin talaga "reference/non-fiction" ito... T.T

message 12: by Angus (new)

Angus I just based it on the popular notion that it is fantasy. I checked that out at the book's page, right panel.

K.D. Absolutely Jzhun: Hmmm. Good point. Para lang ayokong isama ang Reference. Kasi baka isama nila ang libro nila sa Trigonometry noong high school haha.

Your call. :)

Naku wag, non-essential ang reference books.
I'm fine with Tina's set list na. :)
It's perfect.
