The Velveteen Rabbit
by
"A toy bunny being loved real. It's a beautiful story. And the quote "once you become real, you cannot become unreal. It lasts for always" has never left my memory."

The Little Prince
by
"There's so many parts of this book that's meaningful but the part I love most is the fox and his lesson in forming bonds with others and it's those bonds that make each other special to each other, and how it's expected that they may hurt each other but they can't build anything without accepting that possibility."

The Girl Who Drank the Moon
by
"A story about family, both found and given, and how knowledge is important to prevent tragedy. Different perception can be woven into different stories from the same events."

Coraline
by
"The scene where Coraline tells the fake circus man that it would be meaningless to be given everything she wanted has lived in my head rent-free for years."

A Monster Calls
by
"A beautiful story about grief and the hardship of illness. A young boy coming to terms with his mother's passing from cancer. The Monster that forces him to confront his feelings isn't evil but it's a painful and necessary process."

Green Heart (Green Angel, #1-2)
by
"This is a lovely story about grief and growing passed it. How we let our grief color us but it doesn't change our nature. That even if we can't see it, tomorrow comes and we heal."
