Kathleen I've read Queen Sugar, and enjoyed it. Black seems the next best thing for me.

Ebony (Kuye) I am interested in reading Black.

Greetingsforyou Joan Vassar's novel Black is an incredible read. The character development, the story, the well-researched history mixed with the fiction, leaves you spell- bound and wanting it never to end. You become so engaged with the characters in this book that they become like family. Whether you find yourself friends, lovers, and even haters of these characters, your feelings change constantly over the course of events. There is no human emotion left out for you in this journey through these character's lives, historical and present.

More importantly, this novel tackles a well-covered part of history in the most respectful, unbiased, no taking of sides, realness in which it has never been covered before.

Many congratulations are in order for Author Vassar. Well done, well done, well done! We are ready for more in this well written, well researched and completely engaging story.
