Elfina Renee I think the loves scenes are just as important as the story and can advance the plot. Plus they also help build a connection with the characters. Give me a good heart stopping action pack novel and I'm there, add elements of danger, suspense and intrigue and I'm jonsing, foaming at the mouth. But give me a book that's a mini porn or primarily focused on sex and forget it, I'm not interested.

Gela Depends on my mood. I can go for Debbie Macomber Romance, to J.R.Ward .... To, okay I think you get the point.

message 3: by Jenn (new)

Jenn I have to agree, mostly it depends on what mood im in.

message 4: by Marta (new)

Marta Cox Im happy with sex as long as it feels its advancing the relationship

message 5: by Betty (new)

Betty I've always enjoyed reading experience that creates an well rounded out romance with developing characters, situations, emotions that pulls you into the loving sensuality describing how much they care about their relationship/mating.

Gela I like a mini porn as long as it's what I'm in the mood for. Can't be vanilla all the time. Boring same old crap gets old. Depends on the story and my mood. There nothing worse then picking up a novel that's suppose to be steaming but is as dull sex scenes or picking up a hopeful heartwarming hallmark read and getting hometown Ron Jeremy. Ewe. Mood people! We read Nicholas Sparks & Macomber for nice & J.R.Ward and Torre for naughty. I expect that.

Margari I enjoy all types of love scenes. It all depends on the characters in the story and how the plot unfolds. The scenes definitely have to be very descriptive. The build up to the the love scenes, however the scene plays out, wether it's vanilla, BDSM or dark I prefer to be descriptive but short and simple. If you are going to have long love making encounters then the build should be no more than two to five word (at the most). When my anticipation rises I don't like to waste my time with wordy preludes. Just get to it already!!! Lol. But to reiterate it all depends on the characters.

Gela Nicely said Margari, I agree!

Thank you Gela !!

Melissa I'm a100% with the love scenes! Cuz i think that a remance/ love novel without love scenes is not completely complete!

message 11: by Ashleyjo (new)

Ashleyjo My option isn't available from the choices:/ I like my love scenes explicit and devoid of dime store descriptions; give it to me raw and uncensored. They should stay true to the character's persona. They should be relevant to the plot and placed at appropriate times there-in... However many or few that may be.
