HI all! Just a note that I nominated portable veblen but will be on a boat in the ocean from sept 3 - 11 with sporadic internet access so would have to hand off moderating to someone else if this book wins :)

I am rereading All the Living and it is even better than the first read - amazing prose. The book jacket compares the writing to that of Marilynne Robinson and James Salter. I see why the comparison to Robinson but haven't read Salter yet.
