I don’t read horror, gives me nightmares!

I won't vote as I do not like reading horror stories and will leave it to those who do.

I have read Red Queen by Australian Honey Brown, and it is not gory or macabre. Rather, it is a tense psychological/suspense kind of story. It is set in an alternative future where a pandemic has wiped out huge numbers of people, and the survivors are living in isolated conditions in rural Victoria. I found it a very clever and imaginative story, and could recommend it.

As a North Queenslander I can think of nothing worse than trying to survive in rural Victoria.
