We have a tie so far and voting ends tonight! When Rain Clouds Gather by Bessie Head 3 votes, and
The Longest March by Fred Khumalo 3 votes
You can now "Rent" When Rain Clouds for the kindle app for $2.19 a month; not for the actual kindle device unfortunately (so far). Thriftbooks.com has "good" paper copies for $5.28 incl. shipping.
For The Longest March I have tried 5 libraries and 6 bookseller sites in the U. S. and can't find any available. It was only published a year ago, so perhaps in another year more copies will be available. bookdepository has the largest number of his other books available (5) of the sellers I checked. If it is the winner I will probably read one of his other books as a substitute, probably Dancing the Death Drill.

Looks like we had a tiebreaker vote in the final hours for When Rain Clouds Gather.I enjoyed her book of stories The Collector of Treasures.
Ah, timezones... Goodreads is not in mine, and it's hard to start the polling unless I choose 'their' timezone. Anyway: we have a winner!!
I thought I already read When Rain Clouds Gather, but I mistook it for The Collectors of Treasures. Looking forward to another Bessie Head read!
