The final phase of voting is here!

Thank you to everyone that participated in the first round of voting! To all the great goodreads authors, thank you for your participation without you we wouldn't be having goodreads author month.

With that said. The winner of this poll decides the October book. To prevent any problems and just to make sure it's clear: Cheating will not be tolerated. I don't see that being a problem but you never know!

All the authors except for 1 have been confirmed for a discussion of the book. The one with the * by it may have limited availability. The * is located at the end of the name of the book and author. As always please check with your favorite provider to see if the book you are voting for is available as availability does change daily.

I put mine in for Shadow's Son. Looks like an interesting read.

Just picked up a copy of Shadow's Son at Dragon*con, so it would be fun to talk about it with the group.

Voted for Shadow's Son, though they all look interesting and may end up on my to-read list at some point anyway.

At Dragon*Con, I heard about Shadow's Son at Pyr's presentation, and the premise sounded intriguing. Also had the fortunate chance to bump into the author's father at the event - very engaging fellow!

At any rate, I had decided to read Shadow's Son even before my vote here.

I voted for Shadow's Son because it's one of my fav books of 2010 and really really enjoyed it!

Also I just noticed another book group I"m a part of is reading Emma Bull's War for the Oaks for October :)

I voted for Shadow's Son. A book about assassins and 250 pages or so seems right up my alley!

War for the Oaks blew me away when I read it years ago. I'd love to revisit it in a group setting...and hear from the author!

I have to say that I've received more votes than I expected so far - thank you!! I'm flattered to be considered among such a wonderful list of authors.

As the first post indicates, the books with the * by them may have limited availability. Meaning the books themselves may be hard to come by, not the Authors ;)

The * at the end and before you vote indicates the book may be limited availability. After you vote an * appears before your vote so you know it. If you change your vote it will change :). I didn't realize that was how it singled who you voted for or I would have used a different symbol!

War for Oaks has been nominated several times for other categories. It was only a matter of time :)

That was a close vote. I have emailed Emma Bull and yet to hear back. I will try again and see if she will join us for at least a Q & A or something.
