L.E. Modesitt always recommends reading the Recluce books in the order of publication. I'll go with that.

Great timing on this one. Just finished The Magic of Recluse to begin a reread through the series.
I have to admit that I have never read the famed Recluce series - so this is a great opportunity to motivate to do so. Lynn - Thanks for the tip on reading publication order - I'm going with that as well. = )
I've read several in the Recluse series but not all of them. I'm not much of a re-reader so I'll just go ahead and continue the series with Colors of Chaos.
I voted for Soprano Sorceress as I don't want to start another long series right now. Have too much else to read :P
