Don't get me wrong, The Constant Princess is my favorite PG novel by far and I'd love to discuss it but I thought we were going for non-fiction this time around?!? Did I misunderstand the nomination post?
Yes, you must have misunderstood. The theme this quarter is YOUR FAVORITE HISTORY BOOK (pre-1945, any country, fiction or non-fiction).
Though no matter what, it looks like TCP is going to come in second, once again! LOL
Oh.. I just paid attention to the history book part and figured that meant non-fiction. I'm new to the group so I figured EVERY group read was a "history" book considering there aren't so many royals around anymore. I PROMISE I'll vote for TCP next time; it's one of my favorites.
No problem!We have two categories in the group - a European Royalty category and a General History category, which we just added about a year ago.
The History category was added so that we could nominate and read historical books that weren't about European Royalty - Gone With the Wind, for instance :)
The majority of what we read for both categories is actually fiction, though we do read some non-fiction, too!
Mandy, I put my vote in for TCP! I'll get to it sometime soon. :)
