“Since successfully bracing/immobilizing a dislocated coccyx in the relocated position is not possible, it is not obvious whether relocation through manipulation provides sustained improvement in position. The main predictors of a good prognosis were: 1. A stable coccyx, 2. Shorter symptom duration, 3. Traumatic cause, and 4. A lower score in the affective parts of the McGill and Dallas questionnaires. The doctors determined that intra-rectal manipulation had mild success for chronic coccyx injury and pain.”
