We think that maybe we need to get our jobs, our callings, our relationships, or our life’s work perfect in order for them to have meaning. We think maybe when we get everything lined up and polished to perfection, then we will have a secure sense of self. But Christ’s truth is pretty simple: We’re all human, and we all need a Savior. If we’ll accept Him as ours, then we’ll receive identity rather than coming up empty as we try to build identity for ourselves.”
