“After my Dad left, Alan and Phil mentioned how much they have enjoyed spending time with him. I told them that it has been great for me too, getting to spend some quality time with my Dad and told them that even though he was brought up without a father, from a family of nine children and without any of the priviliges that most of us today would take for granted, he has been a great Dad and set a brilliant example to me. I would never say any of this in front of my Dad though, as it would embarrass us both.”
