If you’re coming up on a deadline and you’re noticing that the work is much more involved and time-consuming than you first thought, then make sure to communicate with the client as soon as possible of the possibility. If you do this, then in the worst case they will be a little upset (and they’ll get over it), but ultimately you won’t lose their trust when you hit the revised delivery date. In the best case, you’ll surpass their expectations and get things done before the revised delivery date and you’ll look like an all-star.”
