My own internal conflicts are at least mollified when I consider the one thing that cannot be denied: our justice system has developed over centuries to be the best and the fairest in the world, one that it is either emulated, or envied by jurisdictions all around the globe. As the fairest possible route to justice, it is probably the best that any society could do.”
