There was massive change under way, there was a huge shift under way and everyone felt it. When punk came along in the 70s, there was a movement going on there and there was an energy, a really good strong energy, things happening every night. Punk was inclusive, but it was all about drop-outs, there was all that anarchy, whereas this was about love, optimism, inclusion – and we were all having the time of our lives.”
