    “و لأنى حمقرى ( مزيج من الحمار و العبقرى ) فقد كنت أظن أن كل رجل ضاحك رجل هلّاس .. ولأنى حمقرى كنت أرفع شعاراً حمقرياً " أنا أضحك إذاً أنا سعيد " , و بعد فترة طويلة من الزمان اكتشفت أن العكس هو الصحيح , و اكتشفت أن كل رجل ضاحك رجل بائس , و أنه مقابل كل ضحكة تقرقع على لسانه تقرقع مأساة داخل أحشائه .. و أنه مقابل كل ضحكة ترتسم على شفتيه تنحدر دمعة داخل قلبه .. و لكن هناك حزن هلفوت و هناك أيضاً حزن مقدس .. و صاحب الحزن الهلفوت يحمله على رأسه و يدور به على الناس .. التقطيبة على الجبين , و الرعشة فى أرنبة الأنف و الدمعة على الخدين .. يالاللى!! و هو يدور بها على خلق الله ليبيع لهم أحزانه , و هو بعد فترة يكون قد باع رصيده من الأحزان و تخفف , و يفارقه الحزن و تبقى آثاره على الوجه , اكسسواراً يرتديه الحزين الهلفوت و يسترزق.”
