    Lang Leav
“What was it like to lose him?" Asked Sorrow.
There was a long pause before I responded:

It was like hearing every goodbye ever said to
    me—said all at once.”
    Lang Leav, Love & Misadventure

    Brandon Villasenor
“I miss her | & not the type of missing when you’re alone, not the type when you’re broken down half drunk, not even the type when you know she’s the one. I’m talking about the kind of missing that when you’re full of happiness…you wish they were there to enjoy it. I don’t care if we’re not together, I don’t care if I never see her again. All that I will every know is I’m here smiling & I know how much she’d like to see that.”
Brandon Villasenor, I Can't Stop Drinking About You

“There comes a day in life, when you have said all that you ever wanted to say to someone. But that someone is still waiting. Waiting for words to come out. And that’s when you know there is nothing much left. It is time to say goodbye.”
    Anushka Bhartiya

“I think anyone who opened their heart enough to love without restraint and subsequently were devastated by loss knows that in that moment you are forever changed; a apart of you is no longer whole. Some will never again love with that level of abandon where life is perceived as innocent and the threat of loss seems implausible. Love and loss, therefore, are linked.”
    Donna Lynn Hope

    Kelly Moran
“I only know two things in life for certain: I know I love her and I know when her memory of our time together fades, I’ll still feel exactly the same as I do today. Time is irrelevant, as I once said to her. And I’m happy wasting every second of it on her.”
    Kelly Moran, Return to Me

“Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling into at night. I miss you like hell.”
Dave Isay, All There Is: Love Stories from StoryCorps

    Chuck Palahniuk
“I just want one person I can rescue and I want one person who needs me. Who can't live without me. I want to be a hero, but not just one time.”
    Chuck Palahniuk, Choke

    Emme Rollins
“You think he’s perfect and he’s safe and, in your head, he can do anything... but he can’t save you, Sara... and I can’t save you either.”
    Emme Rollins, Dear Rockstar

    Stephen King
“Some birds are not meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go, or when you open the cage to feed them they somehow fly out past you. And the part of you that knows it was wrong to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, the place where you live is that much more drab and empty for their departure.”
Stephen King, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption

  • #14
    Jodi Picoult
“Three months ago, if you asked me, I would have told you that if you really loved someone, you’d let them go. But now I look at you, and I dreamed about Maggie, and I see that I’ve been wrong. If you really love someone, Allie, I think you have to take them back.”
    Jodi Picoult, Mercy

    Shannon L. Alder
“If you spend your time hoping someone will suffer the consequences for what they did to your heart, then you're allowing them to hurt you a second time in your mind.”
    Shannon L. Alder

    Winna Efendi
“You can meet someone who’s just right, but he might not be meant for you. You break up, you lose things, you never feel the same again. But maybe you should stop questioning why. Maybe you should just accept it and move on.”
    Winna Efendi, Melbourne: Rewind

    Faraaz Kazi
“The most difficult aspect of moving on is accepting that the other person already did.”
    Faraaz Kazi

“When I say I'm going to forget you I know it's impossible to forget someone I once knew. What I want is to erase you from my thoughts and purge you from my memories. I'm saying it's what I wish for, not what is or could ever be.”
    Donna Lynn Hope

“Sometimes you have to stop trying to control everything and let life happen the way it's supposed to, Tess. Even if it's not exactly the way you wanted.

But what if it's not even a little like you wanted?

Then you deal with it and keep going.”
    Lord, Cynthia

“Don't allow someone not worth it to have the power to occupy your thoughts. If they don't find you worth the effort or the time, why should you waste yours?”
    Donna Lynn Hope

  • #23
    Diana Killian
“His being there was stirring up a lot of memories she'd have been happier to leave as sentimental sediment. Not that they weren't good memories. That was the trouble.”
Diana Killian, Dial Om for Murder

    Shannon L. Alder
“It is a strange thing that the human species can only go three days without water and three weeks without food, before the body dies. Yet, so many people can go years hanging onto pain and feeling emotionally dead inside. I suppose if it was the other way around more people would go to school to be morticians because of the booming business, or pastors would have to hand out Valium with the sacrament, just to keep the census high.”
    Shannon L. Alder

“Sometimes you have to let things go. Sometimes you have to stop caring for a minute.”
Trina Etmanskie, The Maid Games: Betrayed

  • #26
    Shannon L. Alder
“In the end, a lack of compatibility is what ruins relationships. You can't force someone to be an eagle when they are a duck. Nobody wants to fly solo. Dreams were meant to be shared together.”
    Shannon L. Alder

    Thisuri Wanniarachchi
“Most parents try really hard to give their kids the best possible life. They give them the best food and clothes they can afford, take their own kind of take on training kids to be honest and polite. But what they don't realize is no matter how much they try, their kids will get out there. Out to this complicated little world. If they are lucky they will survive, through backstabbers, broken hearts, failures and all the kinds of invisible insane pressures out there. But most kids get lost in them. They will get caught up in all kinds of bubbles. Trouble bubbles. Bubbles that continuously tell them that they are not good enough. Bubbles that get them carried away with what they think is love, give them broken hearts. Bubbles that will blur the rest of the world to them, make them feel like that is it, that they've reached the end. Sometimes, even the really smart kids, make stupid decisions. They lose control. Parents need to realize that the world is getting complicated every second of every day. With new problems, new diseases, new habits. They have to realize the vast probability of their kids being victims of this age, this complicated era. Your kids could be exposed to problems that no kind of therapy can help. Your kids could be brainwashed by themselves to believe in insane theories that drive them crazy. Most kids will go through this stage. The lucky ones will understand. They will grow out of them. The unlucky ones will live in these problems. Grow in them and never move forward. They will cut themselves, overdose on drugs, take up excessive drinking and smoking, for the slightest problems in their lives.
You can't blame these kids for not being thankful or satisfied with what they have. Their mentality eludes them from the reality.”
    Thisuri Wanniarachchi, COLOMBO STREETS

    Betty Smith
“Say something," demanded Fancie. "Why don't you say something?"
    "What can I say?"
"Say that I'm young-that I'll get over it. Go ahead and say it. Go ahead and lie."
"I know that's what people say-you'll get over it. I'd say it too. But I know it's not true. Oh, you'll be happy again, never fear. But you won't forget. Every time you fall in love it will be because something in the man reminds you of him.”
    Betty Smith

“Cruelty is a language that the blind can see, the deaf can hear, and the heart feels forever.”
    Shannon L. Alder

    Steph Campbell
“Part of me aches to touch her now that she's so close. But the other part, the logical part, wants to coast myself in Teflon, because I know that her being here, no matter what her reasons, is going to seriously fuck with my world.”
    Stephanie Campbell, Grounding Quinn
